Thwing-Albert is pleased to announce the introduction of the newly designed, user friendly, FP-2250 Coefficient of Friction/Peel Tester. The Peel Tester mode can be set up to perform 180° tests, 90° tests, and T-Peel tests for film to film, film to paper, and paper to adhesive applications. The Friction Tester mode can be configured to test the static and kinetic coefficient of friction of plastic film, paper, paperboard and packaging materials.
FP-2250 utilizes a new multifunctional keypad which allows the user to easily navigate through the multiple menu options. The crosshead and the load cell are adjustable on the FP-2250 to simplify the change between various test set ups. The new system also offers the ability to test to a specific distance or a specific time. The FP-2250 now comes standard with the Auto Return/Stop option at the end of a test.
One of the best features of the FP-2250 is the large front panel display screen. The front display is 240 pixels x 64 pixels and is designed so the test results can be easily read by the operator. The memory capacity on the FP-2250 can store 127 individual tests for each mode, COF, Peel, and Tensile. The FP-2250 offers optional accessories to perform low capacity tensile and seal strength tests (up to 10 kg/22 lbs), 90° peel , T-Peel, delamination tests, a sled lifting device to meet ISO 15359, and a Heated Platen for testing at elevated temperatures up to 350° F.
The FP-2250 can transmit raw data and test reports to an external PC via a RS-232 or USB data communication port. Thwing-Albert offers FP-DAS software which allows the user to send data to an external PC for additional analysis.
